Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using ReviewMate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including businesses and individual account holders.
2. Description of Service
ReviewMate provides reputation management software for Australian businesses, including review monitoring, AI-generated reply drafts, customer messaging campaigns, SEO analytics, and competitor intelligence. Features vary by subscription plan.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at hello@matesreview.com.
4. Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial period, access will be restricted unless you subscribe to a paid plan. We provide a 3-day grace period after trial expiry before full restrictions apply.
5. Subscription and Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in Australian Dollars (AUD). You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) send unsolicited messages to customers who have opted out; (c) misrepresent your identity or business; (d) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service; (e) exceed any plan limits systematically to avoid upgrades.
7. Customer Data and Privacy
You retain ownership of your business data and customer data. By using the Service, you grant ReviewMate a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service. We handle all data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy law (Privacy Act 1988).
8. AI-Generated Content
ReviewMate uses AI (including Claude by Anthropic) to generate review replies, blog posts, and insights. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point for your review and approval. You are solely responsible for any content you publish. Do not rely on AI output without human oversight.
9. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Google Business Profile, Facebook, Yelp, etc.). Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for changes to or disruptions of third-party services.
10. Intellectual Property
ReviewMate and its underlying technology are owned by ReviewMate Pty Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. The ReviewMate name, logo, and trademarks are our property.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewMate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason with reasonable notice. On termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion. You may export your data at any time before termination.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
